DAVID SPADY

​

David Spady is President of River Public Affairs Group, a strategic media and political consulting agency, where he combines his extensive experience in the world of politics with his background in media.  Spady has appeared on numerous television news broadcasts including CNN, FOX News, ABC, NBC, CBS and Inside Edition. His editorials have been broadly published in newspapers including the Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times. He was honored with a Telly Award for campaign ads.

Over the past 18 years Spady has advised Salem Media Group on content and programming, and has managed the company’s public affairs division. Spady has worked for the Koch Network in a variety of capacities, consulting for Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Partners. As part of his advocacy work he testified before legislative committees, led grassroots advocacy efforts and attended United Nations Earth Summits in Cancun, Mexico and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil as an NGO member. 

River Strategy Group clients include industry associations, private businesses, local governments and organizations interested in developing strategic relationships with media, government agencies and elected officials.  Spady has been an active member of Council for National Policy since 2002. He is a member of the the National Hunting and Shooting Sports Advisory Council at the US Department of Interior, Congressional Western Caucus Foundation, Western Governor’s Association, and serves on the boards of the Montana Outdoor Legacy Foundation, Wild Ops Ministry, and the Ventura County Boy Scouts of America.

Spady has visited 28 countries and lived in Nigeria for 12 years.  He studied Film and Television at Montana State University, earned a BA in Communications from Azusa Pacific University and completed an MA program in National Security Studies at California State University San Bernardino.
